The 2015 first round pick is yet to produce a season that is fitting of being a top 20 draft pick. Things hit a new low for Agholor last season as he admittedly lost the psychological battle that comes from pressure to perform. Agholor seems to have a different approach thanks to a fire that new Eagles WR coach Mike Groh has ignited. Groh said he recruited Agholor as a position coach at Alabama when he was coming out of high school. He knows there is plenty of talent but wants to focus on fundamentals with Agholor. Having watched last years’ games that Agholor played in and honed in on every pass that went his direction, Groh feels he has a firm grasp on how to approach things with his ‘reclamation project.’ it’s going back to basics. Nelson is a first round pick and has first round talent. He bought a jugs machine last year and caught countless numbers of footballs, yet the drops still occurred last season. Coach Groh is helping him focus on situations that will occur in games. ” Agholor explained after practice last week. “You have to train situations that you’ll be in. Groh feels Agholor has a unique skill set that allows him to be a dangerous weapon anywhere on the field. ” Groh said. “He’s not really the classic or stereotypical slot receiver,Derek Barnett Jersey,Terry Bradshaw Jersey,Jerome Bettis Jersey, he can function at a high level outside, and he looked comfortable inside,Authentic Mack Hollins Jerse,“There aren’t a lot of slot receivers that can go outside and have success. With his speed and athleticism, but he has instincts in the middle of the field. “He has short-area quickness to allow him to get open against tight coverage. He also has burst and acceleration to get away from defenders. He has a unique skill set.” Philadelphia’s wide receivers were underwhelming last season which resulted in former position coach Greg Lewis being fired. Groh is excited about the group he inherited which was bolstered with the additions of Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith. Said Groh, “I can’t tell you how excited I am to get working with Nelson and the entire group. They compliment each other end play off and each other really well.”
